Bambert is the name that my friend, Beth, and I came up with because our students can never keep us straight. Since we met five years ago, I have spent more time with Beth than anyone else. I can honestly say that no one, and I mean NO ONE, knows me as well as Beth. She will call me out on my B.S. just as quickly as she’ll encourage me to spend a year in Ecuador. I am a better person for knowing her.

Big Picture:  The fact that we are going our separate ways is a good thing. She’s moving to be with her husband. I’m going to live abroad. Both are fabulous reasons for leaving Boston.

Little Picture (What’s the opposite of ‘big picture’?) : I’m really going to miss Beth. A lot.
