I can’t believe it! The school year is almost over. Today while the kids were taking their final – faces squinched up, chewing on pencils, staring at the ceiling –  I realized how much they have grown up. They are taller, stronger, and MANAGED TO SIT SILENTLY for 1.5 hours. Amazing!

At times, I might complain about this job but it really is an honor to be a part of their lives. I hope I really miss it by the time I return from Ecuador. I want to LONG for it. I don’t mean the kids because I already miss them and it isn’t even summer vacation yet. I mean that I want to yearn to be in front of a math class by the time I get back.
